This morning, tragedy struck an ICE detention facility in Dallas when a gunman opened fire inside the building. One detainee was killed, and two others remain in critical condition. The shooter, who had “ANTI-ICE” carved on his ammunition, later died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Authorities have not released the shooter’s identity but confirmed no ICE officers were harmed. Officials are investigating this as targeted violence against immigration enforcement.

🔑 What’s Changing?

  • Security at ICE facilities is under review nationwide.
  • Federal agencies may increase protective measures around staff and detainees.

🧾 What Are the Options Now?

  • Families with relatives in ICE custody should stay alert for visitation or access changes.
  • Immigration attorneys may see new security protocols when entering facilities.
